THANK YOU!

After the HUGE success of Simmer Down Festival 2017 we would like to say a big THANK YOU to all who made it happen. Without the hard work and dedication of all those involved we could not have pulled this off. We’re still waiting on official figures, but latest estimates suggest an audience size of 18,000! With artists from all across Birmingham and the West Midlands performing on the day, this truly was a local event for local people of all ages.

Crucial's Stage at Simmer Down Festival 17

Main Stage at Simmer Down

Firstly a big thank you to all our volunteers who helped out on the day and in the weeks running up to the event. You helped make sure the public had a fantastic time, kept backstage rolling smoothly and used your initiative to create a positive experience for the public. The festival gave 17 young people invaluable events experience (a continuation of having worked with them on a number of projects within schools) plus 3 young people from children’s home were given a chance to build their confidence in events work. We also supported 8 NEETS (not in education, employment or training) in getting experience in community engagement.

Media Team working hard at Simmer Down Festival 2017

That’s All Media were our media gurus for the day, and went above and beyond to capture all the exciting action on the day. We have you to thank for all the interviews with a more than willing public, engaging footage and photography.

Thanks you Crucials Sauce of course! Your support and great communication were invaluable in making the festival sustainable. Thanks also to the Crucial Heroes who patrolled the event, helping people out with any sauce related emergencies! They happily took photos with an amused public and kept the mood lifted during the course of the day

Our fantastic Artists on the Best of Brum stage were amazing, thank you all for your professionalism and talent. You drew a consistent crowd throughout the day and kept everyone pumped up for more fun. Thanks also to Punch Records for your help in organising, and Smash for your amazing compering, regulating the vibes to the perfect pitch for maximum enjoyment.

Finally, thank you to all those who came to Simmer Down at our beautiful festival. An event is nothing without an audience, and you guys brought all the positivity and love that Simmer Down represents.

THANK YOU ALL.
